a prayer for growth

Dear Heavenly Father,

I come to you for guidance as I hope to draw nearer to you.

I come before your merciful Hands asking for a transformation of Mind, of Heart, and of Soul.

Help me walk on your righteous path and trust in your plan, even if I might not always understand it.

Help me carry a light of love and hope wherever I might go so that everyone knows I am a disciple of You.

Lord God,

Help me grow nearer and dearer to you.

I have some layers to shed,

Some deep reflection to do,

Some negativity to let go of,

Some apologies to give,

Some bridges to build

In order to become more like you.

Like a butterfly through its many phases of life, I want to grow into a better lover of others,

A better listener,

A better teacher,

A better friend,

A better partner,

A better advocate,

And a better servant of You.
